17May08: Tough Times never last but Tough People Do

Everything happens for the best....well, at first it seems so difficult and when you expect something and that does not happen, you tend to not realise all the other good things that happen too. Someone once told me that 'Fixation of Expectations' is not a good thing to have, but then again, I feel that certain things have to be expected and when they dont, you really have to think properly and find out the reasons why it went on like that and act accordingly.

This is about my life here in Dubai and how things have changed for me in the last 7 months. Initally it was so difficult because the girl that I came to Dubai for seemed to be avoiding me or rather keeping me in my place. I wasn't doing anything wrong or being too pushy or weird but she just acted like that. With time I realised that she was always like that but the only reason I never saw this earlier was because it was a long distant relationship, we were in different countries and we met only when she was on holiday and would come down to my country.

I would do so much for her in India but now that ive come here, she doesnt even talk to me on the phone, and that too, I call....she doesnt have to spend her money on the calls, she just gives me a missed call when she wants to talk and I call her back. Anyway, coming to Dubai has shown me her true colours...thank God for that, its not too late. I will never be mean to her ever even though she treated me really badly :)

My life otherwise has been really nice because of my cousins. We go out alot, I go to play football after work on the weekends with collegues from Emirates, go out with my cousins to nice places like Spice Island, Hard Rock Cafe, Irish Village, TGIF, Nandos, Chillis, Tony Romas, Japengoes, Gazebo's, Jumeirah beach, parks like Safa, Zabeel and many more places. I also go to the gym on alternate days and try to be as regular as possible, go for swims on the weekends to my cousins place too........ Life is great!

I have decided to give my dad, mum and my sister in Goa some money that I have earned here. Anyway, I can always earn more money but making them happy will make me really happy. My family is my number one priority. It took me 25 yrs to figure this out but atleast I did...hehe
